Today We're FEELIN' GROOVY about:
~I spent most of sunday either asleep or eating.
~Surprise Grungeboard in my mailbox, thank you!
~Our brother, Tod, is about to give me a prize.
~Karen's birthday is this week!!!! CAKE!! Wishes!! Gifts!!
~All the support and well wishes we have received from YOU. Thank YOU. We appreciate the love and support of every single person who has ever said a nice word about us, our blog, or our books. And let's get to what matters...thanks to everyone who emailed me the last few weeks and told me the gap in my teeth is ok!
~Thanks to Maria's excellent translation skills, I finally found out that my gardener's name is Ygnacio. It's odd because for the last 3 years I thought his name was Vesuvio. Big difference. Ygnacio is planting some color in my yard this week. I can't wait!
~The steak and potato meat pie from The Village Idiot. Holy Mother of Buddha! Best EVER! Go there and eat it right away!!
Our Bêtes Noires:
~Karen and her daughter are at highschool orientation tonight. How did her little angel go from being two to a teenager in ten minutes?
~We keep telling people exactly what we want or what we are willing to do and they keep not listening. Do our voices not work or are most people just total selfish, self-absorbed jerks?
~Diet Steaz. GROSS. If you have ever taken Robitussin then vomited, you know what this tastes like. What am I going to do for energy now? Is there diet Mountain Dew?
~We got our royalty statement from our publisher the other day and oddly enough, ours didn't come with a fruit basket and a giant thank you card. We're sure that was just an oversight, though. [insert prize here]
~Tomorrow my aching back and I are going to spend a few hours at the dentist getting more work done (but not my beautiful gap closed!) on teeth nobody will ever see but that the horrible dentist 30 years ago messed up. He also messed up the teeth of Karen and Tod. Hmmmm...maybe we should blog in triplicate about this dentist. Weren't all dentists 30 years ago horrible, though? I think so.
