Today We're FEELIN' GROOVY about:
~Funny luggage at Baggage Reclaim
~Biscuits and apple dumplings at Cracker Barrel
~A really nice suite with a good view of a fluffy cloud filled sky
~Watching Nancy Grace together
~TONIA!!! And seeing her BOOK on alternative framing (buy it!- She even frames art by the famous Claudine Hellmuth. Come on, don't you want to know how to frame your Poppet?)
~Playing That's MY Body! for two hours when our plane was late. If you've never played it before, you sit and watch people walk by and point out which one you think you look like (discreetly, of course). You can also point out who you think your friends and siblings look like. Or, which crazy person you are sure will sit next to you on the plane.
Our Bêtes Noires:
~Being molested on the airplane. Why oh why does this always happen to us? Why didn't the cool grandma sitting behind us who heard the whole thing smack the guy with her purse? We knew it would be bad when he ordered a rum and coke before 9 AM. We always attract the only person on the plane who is unable to read human expression, body language, or the significance of a wedding ring.
~People who believe that admitting their neuroses makes it ok to victimize people with them- specifically, us.
~No Privacy Please sign for our door and housekeepers who kept interrupting our naps
~A stranger scolding us for gossiping. Apparently she missed the article in the NY Times about how gossip is good for you. She shouldn't have been eavesdropping!
~Having to pay an entrance fee to SHOP.
~Claudine Hellmuth knock offs being sold 3 feet from the real thing
~Too much brown
~Arizona heat is way different. It starts at your feet and burns its way up your body- kind of the same way wearing pantihose does. And, it is a good thing we were wearing long sleeved shirts because it really was cold everywhere we went inside (especially the airport where we spent lots of time).
~ I get taking your pillow places. I just don't get putting your face on it after putting it on the ground or after it has been on that security treadmill thing where sweaty shoes just were. Gross.
