We are thrilled to be sharing journal pages from some of our favorites artists who were inspired by YOU RULE. The first rule is of course that there are no rules in art!
Jen Osborn is a third generation artist, writer, illustrator, and stitcher who lives in the heart of rural Michigan. She's the author of Mixed and Stitched: Fabric Inspiration & How-to's for the Mixed Media Artist. She's also just really cool. I am certain the "heart of rural Michigan" part of her bio implies that we could spend an entire day with her going diner hopping for pie and biscuits, pausing only for photos of the pie and biscuits, and she wouldn't think we were weird. An artist in the heart of rural anyhere knows where the good biscuits are. And where to get paint. A bonus.
Jen's life rule: If it starts to make you feel cynical instead of happy, stop looking at it. That's an e-ticket rule to Happy Town right there, she's even collaged a ticket to her journal page. Fabulous.
Thanks for sharing your journal page with us, Jen!
