We survived prom weekend! It seems the Goldberg curse has not skipped a generation and our beloved Emily is now a carrier of the curse. The dress alterations were wrong (after 5 fittings), the florist use the wrong flowers (even with detailed notes), her shoes broke, the make-up artist heard "I love Lady Gaga's make-up" when she said "I like natural", and the doctor told her she was fine when really she had mono and strep throat and would not give her any medication. Despite the issues in the beginning, she totally SHINED! She was beautiful on her prom day and we were a proud mom and aunt who took a million photos. Well, I did. Karen is still in the mo fo neck brace from hell. It was excellent practice for taking photos while trying not to cry...next week is graduation. Let the emo baking begin!
