Even though I hate being cold, I love this time of year. I love all the oranges and reds and the hot chocolate. Pumpkins are just so cheery! They should be out all year. It's funny to me that we just set them by our front doors in the fall to decorate. Why don't we set watermelons by our front doors in summer? Isn't that the summer version of a pumpkin? Or how about a cantaloupe by the door? Honeydew? Maybe people do decorate their patios with watermelons somewhere and I just haven't seen it.
