I wish I had more time to turn my thoughts into typed words lately. The notebook on my nightstand is full of things I have written down in the sweet few minutes before the sleep fairy visits, so not all thoughts are lost. More often than not, my husband comes home from work in the middle of the night and finds me fallen asleep in bed with the notebook and pencil still in my hand. This cracks me up! I am not 23 anymore. When I was 23, I was reckless and went to bed with a permanent marker and my notebook. I don't dare risk ruining my bedding now.
Our travel plans that involve an airplane have been put on hold for a few months because we still haven't gotten my mother-in-law's house situation sorted out and my husband got on a show (Mad Men!) that will last until after the holidays. So we decided to do a few weekend road trips to keep from going crazy while dealing with all the things making us crazy (not ever sleeping). First up will be lovely, seaside Cambria. Well, hopefully it will be lovely. I will report back on that. Good eats are essential for a road trip. What treats do you like to eat on adventures? I'm in a baking mood, have any suggestions for fall treat recipes I should try? I think our car ride is about 3 hours each way. We can sample a lot of cookies in that time!
