It's been non-stop doing stuff since we got back from our vacation. The good thing about that is it has distracted me from the withdrawal symptoms of needing to immediately plan another adventure. A two-week trip to Europe in the summer is the gateway trip to a quicky trip to Europe in the winter over Christmas when prices are really low and temperatures are even lower. I've got the shakes, I'll do it. It's miserable shvitzy hot here right now so it doesn't seem undoable.
One great thing I did last week was finally get to meet my friend Nadia. Nadia lives in Canada and was visiting her relatives in Santa Barbara. I was thrilled to meet her there. It was a gorgeous day to laugh, hang out at Starbucks, have tacos, and find out that for all these years I have been calling her Nadia and her name is Nah-dia. I die laughing every time I think of this! I wonder who else has a name I am saying wrong? I want to meet people even more now just to hear them say their own names. A super fun and funny day (there will be more about this when we discuss toilets around the world in a different blog post).
My husband finished the pergola so our patio is nice and covered again. I also finished painting the walls of our loft, and am about to start the baseboards. Now all the inspiration I absorbed in Europe can come out. Our walls are empty, the garden is ready for new plants, and I am ready to express myself all over the place. Now I just need the Extra Time Fairy and the Burst Of Energy Fairy to pay me a little visit. I bet those Fairies are sisters.

Yes, I agree with you. A quick trip to Europe at Christmas is what we need!

I'll take a quick trip anywhere if someone wants to pack for me. I'd like to borrow Energy Fairy when you're done with her please.

I'm curious which notebook you ended up taking and how the bag you chose held up. Anything about the trip you would have done differently?
Those tacos look soooo delish!
