*We have always been really fond of the Juicy Couture ad campaigns. We're not so fond of the clothes with JUICY on the butt, but the ad campaigns have always been really cool. Their new campaign has a great new slogan and it's plastered all over magazines, ads, and store walls and windows. And there's a huge ERROR that apparently not one person caught before everything was printed. Their slogan is DO THE DON'TS. Actually, their slogan is DO THE DONT'S. They put the apostrophe between the T and the S instead of between the N and the T, where it belongs. Hmmmm. Juicy People, DO THE PROOFING!
*Yesterday, I was out doing some shopping and when I got back to my car, the car next to me was parked way too close and I had to do that sideways maneuver to get in that requires you toss your bags and purse in first then you try to edge in twisty shoulder first. I finally get in, I'm putting on my seat belt and BAM! BAM! BAM! I get the bejesus scared out of me by a crazy looking -frothy at the mouth-woman banging loudly on my driver's side window. She had a toddler in a stroller and was banging on my car and was fast and furiously rubbing a dirty HELP ME I AM HOMELESS AND NEED MONEY sign all over my window. I have no idea how she fit in the space between the two cars with her stroller. Maybe she was in the car next to mine. I don't know. She totally startled me with her sudden violent banging so I banged back and told her to fuck off. I know, I know, not the most compassionate response. It's hard to be generous or compassionate when your heart is pounding out of your chest and you feel trapped. She moved on to another woman getting in her car. Of course I feel sorry for homeless moms (don't send me hate mail). In that moment, though, I was more scared than feeling sorry for anyone. If you want people to help you, don't scare the shit out of them.
*Our medical insurance no longer covers non-generic prescription medications. This is the lamest thing ever. Generic migraine medications do not work at all. The problem is you don't know this until you've been taking the placebo pills for a month and are dying of migraines and real migraine drug withdrawal. Pretty soon I am going to be banging on car windows with a sign that says HELP ME I HAVE A MIGRAINE.

JUICY written across someone's butt is so odd. The visual isn't attractive. I do, however, tear out the JUICY ads 'cos the color combination ROCKS.
I had a crazy looking-frothy at the mouth-woman banging loudly on my driver's side window once too. I told her to fuck off as well. I know, I know, and my handle is "BellaKarma."
...and I already made my "HELP ME I AM OUT OF VICODIN" sign.

Okay WTF?
Or should that read WFT?!
Sad.
I totally understand your reaction to the homeless women and I think your insurance company sucks. May the nimrod who made that decision be struck with a painful malady and a pile of generic pills that don't cure it.
So there.

For your migraines you should try midrin, the generic (isometh) works just as well and I have found it to be suprisingly effective for my migraines....

Yeah, when you are scared like that I'm sorry but you just can't process info or think about helping. I mean it doesn't sound like a maniac was chasing her or anything that would call for crazy pounding like that... really, WTF indeed.
I will have to disagree with Anea - the generic Midrin did absolutely NOTHING to help my migraines when the regular did great (for years). The generic Imitrex isn't AS great as the brand name, but it's working well enough for me and I could barely afford the brand name Imitrex, even with the insurance - but generic is WAY cheaper. You just have to try generics to see if they work or not, but they are NOT "exactly" the same as they claim - I have found out first hand. But you can check, sometimes the shots are covered when the pills are not for some odd reason - so you should check on that. I never though I could give myself a shot, but it isn't so bad really - the device makes it easier. If nothing else we can all band together and send you some of our Imitrex or Midrin or whatever! I totally get the frustration!!! Insurance companies just drive me NUTS... they should have to live with all our problems and migraines and pains and they would understand and be more compassionate I bet.

I forgot, I also wanted to say - I absolutely HATE this flipping rampant virus of misplaced and misused apostrophes! I love that you are bothered by them, too! I am seeing them EVERYWHERE! We have to do what we can to stamp them out! Go Linda!

holy shit, I laughing my ass off here. I feel sorry for the child she had with her but really, don't scare people if you want their money!!!

I don't even find non-generic Midrin effective, so I can't speak on that...
I do find the generic Imitrex effective - my insurance won't pay for the real thing anymore on that (so thank God the generic works).
I do avoid generic Excedrin - I think the Excedrin people put a secret unlisted ingredient in their version, any generic variation I've tried is less effective than a sugar pill.

Are you sure the dont's thing wasn't on purpose? Sort of like a double meaning---don't do it wrong, like dont's? Just a thought...
