Man oh man, my husband needs to go back to work before my cover is
blown. All this time at home has made him way too available to chat
with the neighbors. One of the things I love about my husband is he's
really nice and talks to everyone. That's also kind of a thing that
annoys me since I am anti-social and do my best to avoid people who
knock on my door without calling first, not that I answer the phone
anyway.
My sweet husband was out being social and bumped into one of the
neighbors who immediately facebooked him after asking his last name.
She also asked him about the books I write which she thought were
children's books but he proudly corrected her and told her they were
about art. He probably gave her my business card but is afraid to tell
me that part. If you're keeping track of my neighbors, it's the one who
(years ago) was attacked by the dog who my husband rushed out of the
house in his underwear to help when he heard screams.
Late last night I was standing at my kitchen sink laughing to myself
(and eating some cookies) just thinking about how funny everything is
when I saw a little bright light shining through my blinds. I opened them a
bit and there, across our yard on the other side of the fence on the
second story of the house next to the one where the balls live, sat a
woman at her laptop. The view from her window is my yard and inside my
windows.
So now I am googling things like:
Yellow house neighbor eats cookies at her sink.
Yellow house neighbor has photo shoots in her back yard.
Yellow house neighbor wears black shirts every day.
Yellow house neighbor can't reach the cereal boxes on top of her fridge.
Yellow house neighbor bounces a bouncy ball while she thinks.
Yellow house neighbor naps a lot on a short couch.
Oh, I could go on and on.

LOL!!! Dang!!! It was bound to happen. Curse those social husbands!!! (I have one of those too). Methinks he needs a spider bite!

Oh man, I am laughing to a point of peeing my pants!
1.)"...do my best to avoid people who knock on my door without calling first, not that I answer the phone anyway."
My friend, Louie, has been trying to figure this one out for years. Usually he just sits in his car outside my house, in hopes I might eventually venture out; however being that I am borderline shut-in, he has settled on writing me notes and leaving 'em on my car (since I have to drive around the block every other night or else my battery dies).
2.)Yellow house neighbor wears black shirts every day.
Whenever I step outside, I think there's got to be a neighbor who wonders why I'm wearing the same black shirt each time they see me.

Oh No He Didn't....give out your card in the 'hood!
LOL
I love the calling first thing. I always have to run go get dressed if people don't call first. I don't sit around fully dressed for company all day long, I mean I'm not naked or anything but damn it's my house so I'm comfy.
I'm sitting here laughing, I love your blog....

My husband is Mr. Friendly. It is a blessing and a curse. He is vanilla ice cream, the flavor that never offends, that everyone likes.
By contrast, I am blue cheese. Sharper, more pungent, some would say an acquired taste.
Sure, I put myself out all over the Internet but not in real life. One of the things I loved about living in Belgium was that no one ever spoke to me. It is not a culture for chitchat.

My husband is very much the same, extremely friendly AND accommodating. I'm NOT! I'm friendly when I want to be but I certainly not accommodating. Bill will invite god knows who over, often without warning and it drives me mental!! He's way too chatty and will fix anything than needs fixing for any neighbour that asks but when I ask...yeah..I'm still waiting!
