Today We're FEELIN' GROOVY about:
~Last night when I was hiding stuff under my bed so my house would look clean for the party on saturday, I found the last thing Nana knit for me! Funky pink slippers! Awe!
~ Letting myself off the hook
~Getting home made cookies from unexpected gift giving bandits!
~My husband is volunteering at a BAKERY today!! I wonder if he is sampling the treats. Maybe he'll bring home a cupcake or three.
~I can't seem to get anything done today because I suddenly wanted to
find all my favorite Sinead O'Connor videos on youtube. This version of
The Last Day Of Our Acquaintance is my fave and the note in the beginning
from the person who uploaded it makes it super funny.Or sad, depending on how you look at it. I bet "whom it may concern" isn't even searching for his/her ex's fave breakup songs on youtube. [note: don't listen to that song really loud at work because it is the version with the f-bomb]. I'm so glad I am not 17 anymore.
~Maria Hammon's first post is up at The Rev It Up List. We are so happy to have Maria on board with us for this adventure. When we decided we wanted to make the list,
we really wanted it to be a place where women of all different
backgrounds shared good stuff they found (or were inspired by or just
LOVE) with the world. One of the best things about Maria is that she is
good at expressing joy. She's also really funny and smart and a very
talented writer and artist who always has her camera with her.
Our BĂȘtes Noires:
~Shoppers at Trader Joe's this morning were even ruder than usual. It's weird how the Trader Joe's shoppers seem to have serious attitude problems, yet the Whole Foods shoppers are usually really nice when they bump their cart into you by accident.
~Everyone I know has a husband or boyfriend who is being a total jerk right now. What is it about holidays and birthdays that makes men jerks? Luckily, my husband is not in that category today. See above.
~Giant corporations* sending e-holiday cards to clients. Uh- no, no, no. Even Coach sends real cards to its favorite customers. Even KAREN sent real cards to her clients and she was cramming for the Spanish exam.
~I'm so late getting my own holiday cards out that I decided to send Valentine's Day cards instead.
*If you are a person without a staff, e-cards are totally cool.
