Acid Tripping
Today We're FEELIN' GROOVY about:
~Flight of The Conchords. I love this show. I am pretty sure it wouldn't be funny if the actors were American, though. The accents make it even funnier.
~Karen is on her way back from New Mexico where her daughter's softball team came in 2nd in the Nationals! YAY!!!
~I pretended to not be home when the phone rang but was really making a new Spirit House. You can see it better here or buy it here. I like creating my own little world.
~Chocolate Chex cereal
Our Bêtes Noires:
~Feeling and sounding like a broken record
~Though the hotel where Karen and her family were staying in NM was right near a Cracker Barrel, she never actually got to go there.
~We got this comment from YouTube user VirginiaGomes
Newspaper? Masking tape? Elmer's glue? They must be kidding! As any scrapbooker know one of the most important things in preserving your memories is to use acid free and lignin free products and none of the above are acid free.
WHAT?! OH MY BUDDHA!! Are the Acid Free Police gonna come get us? Poor Virginia. We do feel sorry for her. As any ARTIST knows, the important thing is expressing yourself how ever you want to and with whatever products you like. I never use acid-free stuff. The more the acid, the better, I say! Not only do I not use acid free products, but so far, over the course of my entire lifetime, nothing I have ever made without acid-free products has disintegrated, turned to ash, turned yellow, or spontaneously combusted. People, USE WHAT YOU HAVE. USE WHAT YOU LIKE. There are NO RULES. So there!
I stole this photo from Kimberly Kwan's blog. This little artist is her beautiful daughter who totally gets it.

the acid police are coming!!!!!!

I second that!
Life is way to short and my time is too precious to care if something is acid free. She needs to get over that hump in her creative road; no art teacher ever asks if the materials used to create a project was acid free; all that matters: the work is your own!
Like you said “There are NO RULES!”

Note to Virginia: Timothy Leary's spirit just appeared to me in a glob of Elmers Glue ...and he told me to tell you take a Prozac and get over it....
